Dynasty Financial has expanded its footprint in the East Coast with a breakaway team coming from Wells Fargo.
Founders Grove Wealth Partners has joined the Dynasty Financial Partners platform, marking its transition to an independent advisory firm.
Based in Richmond, Virginia, Founders Grove is set to offer fee-only, fiduciary services with a focus on leveraging advanced technology for personalized investment and planning solutions. The firm aims to cater to entrepreneurs, business owners, and corporate executives.
Jeremiah Winters, the founder, managing partner, and CEO, has a 14-year record with Finra that includes more than a decade with Wells Fargo.
The team includes Kate Atwood as managing partner and president, Jen Thompson as chief operating officer, and Abbey Sorensen as director of client experience.
Together, they bring experience from their previous roles at Salomon and Ludwin, an advisory team under Wells Fargo, where they managed over $750 million in assets.
"We are pleased to welcome the Founders Grove team to our Dynasty family and thrilled to include a new firm in the steadily expanding Richmond, Virginia market," Shirl Penney, CEO and founder of Dynasty Financial Partners, said in a statement Thursday.
The Founders Grove team chose its name to reflect the dynamic and generous nature of its clients, aiming to support their continued prosperity and new ventures.
Winters emphasized the firm's commitment to client-centered advice, stating, "We want to keep products and client assets and custody separate from advice so that we have the freedom to do what we believe is best for our clients."
In April, Dynasty helped another team of breakaways from Merrill Lynch, who reportedly managed $550 million, vault into independence with their own fee-only fiduciary firm. Currently, Dynasty Financial Partners' network includes 55 independent firms and 370 advisors, managing over $88 billion on its technology platform.
Relationships are key to our business but advisors are often slow to engage in specific activities designed to foster them.
