Sean Khaligh, who managed $170 million at Wells Fargo Advisors, has affiliated with LPL Financial through The Financial Services Network, one of LPL’s large offices of supervisory jurisdiction.

Khaligh, who started at Wells Fargo in 2007, has formed EQ Private Wealth Advisors, which is based in Palos Verdes, California.

Khaligh emigrated with his family from Iran when he was 12. He said he became determined to become a great adviser when, early in his career, a colleague told him that he would never be successful because of his last name and the stigma associated with Iran.
