Bill Gross, managing director and co-chief investment officer at Pacific Investment Management Co., will deliver the keynote address at InvestmentNews' ETF Insights online conference for financial advisers, which will explore the latest developments in exchange-traded funds. Mr. Gross, who will be joined at the Dec. 2 event by experts from Barclay's Global Investors, State Street Global Advisors, The Vanguard Group and other major providers, will take questions from advisers after his opening speech on the most critical issues facing the ETF industry. “Investors are increasingly seeking vehicles with a high degree of transparency and liquidity,” said Mr. Gross, adding that this demand recently prompted Pimco to enter the ETF arena. Following Mr. Gross's address, ETF Insights will offer four separate online sessions that will allow advisers to learn basic strategies for implementing ETFs in their clients' portfolios, as well as some of the more sophisticated issues facing advisers when using ETFs. The virtual forum will also allow advisers to network with their colleagues and peers — without leaving their desks — in between sessions and after the presentations. Registration for the event, which InvestmentNews is producing in a partnership with ETF Trends, is available by clicking here.
