Van Eck Global today announced it will launch an exchange traded fund based on nuclear energy. The New York-based investment firm will introduce the Market Vectors Nuclear Energy ETF on Wednesday, Aug. 15. It’s comprised of 38 companies involved in uranium mining, enrichment and storage, nuclear plant infrastructure, fuel transportation and energy generation, as well as companies that provide equipment involved in the provision of nuclear energy. The ETF will trade on the American Stock Exchange, under the ticker “NLR.” Van Eck also expects to launch another ETF, Market Vectors Agribusiness, later in the third quarter.
