Advent Software Inc., a software and services provider to investment managers, has launched a new version of Tamale RMS, which centralizes data. The research management system provides portfolio managers, traders and analysts with “the ability to capture, store and find the information they want, in a format they prefer,” Mark Rice, senior vice president and general manager of the Tamale arm of Advent in San Francisco, said in a statement. “In addition, we have completely opened up our platform to allow sophisticated clients to access their RMS data with a direct server-to-server connection and to configure the RMS modules to their needs.” This version provides information that is important to the investment decision-making process, such as research, market data, current activity, exposure, performance and improved access to qualitative and quantitative data. Additional enhancements to Tamale RMS are access to research data on BlackBerry, iPhone or other wireless devices. Also, it provides the ability to send links referencing Tamale notes and files in e-mails or instant messages to portfolio managers and colleagues.
