Gemini inks deal with ReFlow Gemini Fund Services will offer ReFlow Management’s redemption service to small and midsize mutual funds. The service will be integrated into Gemini’s transfer agency services, providing clients with direct access to the service. When clients have redemptions, they might have to sell pieces of all of their holdings, disrupting investment strategies, Andrew Rogers, president of Gemini Fund Services LLC of Hauppauge, N.Y., said in a statement. “The brokerage and transaction costs can be significant, so ReFlow’s in-kind redemption makes a great deal of sense.” Gemini is an outsourcer of investment services to mutual funds, hedge funds and other alternative investment products. ReFlow Management Co. LLC of San Francisco helps mutual funds manage the effects of shareholder redemptions on portfolios. Clients include 18 mutual fund families and 409 mutual funds, representing more than $272 billion in assets. PerTrac handheld system upgraded PerTrac Financial Solutions has unveiled PerTrac Mobile 2.0, an application created for BlackBerry users that provides secure wireless access to their offices’ PerTrac work-flow-management platform. The technology enables hedge fund and fund of funds professionals and administrators to search for information on an investment manager, to create a record for an upcoming event or to respond to a client request. Clients should be able to conduct business from wherever they are, Gerry Mintz, president and chief executive of New York-based PerTrac Financial, said in a statement. PerTrac Mobile 2.0 enables users to sort search results and offers a dashboard feature that provides access to newly added items at a glance. It also displays up-to-the-minute information and lets users add events to the database and track correspondence, as well as view and edit their calendars. Davis D. Janowski is on vacation.
