Schwab updates trading platform
To help clients manage their assets through volatile periods, Charles Schwab has updated its StreetSmart Pro trading software with real-time performance reporting for closed positions, short-selling tools and sophisticated options.
The aim is to improve the quality of trading during periods of volatile market conditions.
“Active traders are asking for better, more effective ways to manage their trading activity during volatile market conditions,” said Richard Levine, vice president of Schwab’s active trading services. “We expect these latest platform enhancements to help improve the effectiveness of our clients in all trading environments.”
Among the changes, clients will receive intraday performance reporting, they will have access to more venues for shorting securities in pre-market and after-hour sessions.
In addition, traders will be notified when a stock is difficult to borrow for shorting purposes. The Charles Schwab Corp. is located in San Francisco.
CheckFree acts to strike down language barrier
The latest version of CheckFree Advantage Fee, an automated billing platform, offers a local language feature intended to satisfy the demands of auditors, regulators and clients.
The platform supports complex product and fee structures. Advisers are able to analyze and track revenue based on product and business lines across multiple regions, as well monitor client balances.
The multilingual capability was developed in partnership with a top-tier investment management client that has deployed the system in localities where investors speak, for instance, Japanese and Chinese.
“Revenue management is a top priority in the current financial climate and with revenue and customer retention both at stake, multilingual capabilities enhance customer service and improve revenue collection,” said Geoff Harries, vice president for product strategy at CheckFree Investment Services Software.
CheckFree Advantage was developed by CheckFree Corp. in Atlanta.
