TraderPlanet.com has redesigned its website to improve ease of use and navigation for users who want to keep their trading skills sharp.
The free site, which boasts 10,000 users, is dedicated to keeping traders better informed and helping them improve their trading skills, through articles, videos and other content.
“We have no plans to offer paid services — we want to be a credible source of pure educational content,” said Lane Mendelsohn, president and founder of TraderPlanet.com LLC. “My thought is that trading and investing are difficult. Instead, he will lure advertisers with high-quality content.”
The Wesley Chapel, Fla.-based company has more than 8,000 blog posts and almost 3,000 market commentary posts. In addition, there are more than 400 videos and about 600 educational articles. Advisers will find information about exchange-traded funds, foreign exchange, futures, options and stocks.
TraderPlanet works in a similar fashion to the Facebook and Twitter networking websites.
Site developers are working on a credibility rating system, based on a user’s performance in trading contests, blog post recommendation and feedback on postings. It will be complete in a few months.
In addition to its educational mission, TraderPlanet has donated more than $80,000 to various charities.
