It's that time of year again, when
InvestmentNews reaches out to advisers and asks you to take a survey on the top technology products that you use.
More than 1,100 advisers participated last year, ranking their favorite client relationship management (CRM) system providers, their usage of various programs such as financial-planning and document-management software, and even whether or not they use a tablet, and if they do, which kind.
Advisers can take the
2015 tech product survey here, until Monday, Aug. 10, at 5 p.m.
There's a new section this year, on
adviser-facing robo-advisers, including Betterment, Jemstep, Marstone, Motif, NestEgg and Upside. As online automated investment platforms take off in the industry, advisers are being told they need to
robo-proof their practices.
Last year's results looked like
this: Redtail was the far-and-away winner in the CRM category, with 40.5% of respondents voting it as their favorite.
MoneyGuidePro beat the competition with 38.5% in the financial-planning category.
Advisers' broker-dealer platforms and LaserApp were basically tied, at 20.5% and 20.2% respectively, for document management, and 77.5% of the 724 advisers who use tablets for work use the Apple iPad.

InvestmentNews also relaunched its
product directory last month, which has 122 products across a span of categories.
