Ameriprise wins $179 million adviser team

Phil Nguyen, who managed $179 million in assets at Purshe Kaplan Sterling Investments along with Todd Ferreira, has joined the employee channel of Ameriprise Financial. The two, who were joined with their two client service associates, are based in Campbell, Calif. Mr. Nguyen began his securities career in 1994 at Money Concepts Capital, moved to Great Western Financial Securities later that year, and then to Everen Securities in 1998. He joined Cuso Financial Services that year, and then Essex National Securities in 2006. He was with LPL from 2007 to 2015, when he joined Purshe Kaplan Sterling. Mr. Ferreira began his securities career at Wells Fargo in 1996 and joined Cuso Financial Services in 2000, where he began working with Mr. Nguyen. He joined him in subsequent moves.
