Blackstone Group posted a loss today of $502.5 million, or 44 cents a share, compared with a profit of $234 million, or 21 cents a share, in the year-ago period.
The New York-based firm’s assets under management were up 18% from a year ago, to $116.28 billion.
Conseco late yesterday reported a third-quarter net loss of $182 million, or 98 cents a share, compared to a loss of $52.7 million, or 28 cents a share, in the year-ago period.
