Raymond James lands $1 billion team from Wells Fargo Advisors in New York
The four-person adviser team got its start in 1987.

An advisor team with more than $1 billion in assets has left Wells Fargo and joined Raymond James in New York. Stephen Adler, Mark Levy, Roger Jee and Michael Lubin have joined Raymond James & Associates, the firm's traditional employee channel. The team, which initially began as a partnership between Mr. Adler and Mr. Levy in 1987, will operate as Adler Levy Jee & Lubin Wealth Management of Raymond James in Manhattan. The team is being joined by Raymond James' financial advisers Allison Guzman and Stephen Orzo, Loriann Montanez as senior registered client associate, Christopher Swanson as senior investment management specialist, and James Havell as practice marketing associate. Before joining Raymond James, he was with Wells Fargo Advisors since 2006. He also worked at E.F. Hutton & Co., CIBC Oppenheimer, and C.E. Unterberg, Towbin. Mr. Levy has more than 30 years of experience in the industry. Previously, he had been at Wells Fargo Advisors as a managing director of investments. He had worked there since 2006. Unterberg, Towbin and Jee started his career with Smith Barney in 1990. He joined CIBC Oppenheimer in 1993, where he assisted institutional clients with their liquidity management needs. Mr. Lubin had worked in wealth management with Wells Fargo Advisors and its predecessors since 1998. Prior to that, he managed portfolios at Gruntal & Co. He started his career as a financial reporter in 1994 and wrote for several publications, including Thomson Financials' Securities Industry News. Raymond James Financial Inc. has approximately 7,000 financial advisers and has $754 billion in total client assets.
