Raymond James snags $285 million team from LPL in Rochester, N.Y.

Raymond James has snagged a $285 million team from LPL Financial in Rochester, N.Y. The team, which operates as Legacy Financial Planning, includes financial advisers Tamar "Tammy" Mogilski and Brian Bedford. They have offices in Shelton, Conn., and Oswego, N.Y., in addition to their headquarters in Rochester. Ms. Mogilski has worked in financial services for more than 30 years. She was affiliated with LPL for nearly six years and, prior to that, she worked at MetLife Securities Inc. for approximately 25 years, according to her profile in Finra BrokerCheck. Mr. Bedford worked more than 15 years in the industry, specializing in retirement planning and wealth management. Prior to affiliating with LPL with Ms. Mogilski, Mr. Bedford was employed at MetLife since 2000, according to BrokerCheck. Ms. Mogilski and Mr. Bedford started Legacy Financial Planning while at MetLife. After affiliating with LPL Financial in 2012, they took the firm independent, according to a press release. Martha Trumbull joins them as office manager. The team also includes Samuel Zito, investment consultant, Lisa Mercadel, client service manager, Kaitlyn Kuder, client relations associate, and Shayne Mogilski, digital marketing associate.
