SII loses $380 million team to Ameriprise

Nine-adviser group from Omaha area joins franchise unit.

A nine-adviser group headed by Phil Wood and managing $380 million in Fremont, Neb., has changed affiliation and joined the franchise channel of Ameriprise. In addition to its office in the greater Omaha area, the team has offices in Iowa and Florida. (More: See all the latest moves in the InvestmentNews Advisers on the Move database) Mr. Wood began his securities career in 1988 at Kingsland Capital and worked for two small firms before affiliating with LPL in 1992. He affiliated with SII Investments Inc. in 1998.
