Stifel loses $400 million adviser team to Janney

Eight-person Gormley Furlong group is based in Yardley, Pa.

The Gormley Furlong Wealth Advisory Group, an eight-person team managing or administering $400 million in client assets, has joined Janney Montgomery Scott in Yardley, Pa. The group was previously affiliated with Stifel Nicolaus. Timothy P. Gormley, co-founder of the group, had been affiliated with Stifel since 2007. He began his securities career in 1994 at L.C. Wegard and worked at four firms until joining Stifel. Paul M. Furlong, the group's other co-founder, began his career in 1991 at F.N. Wolf and worked at several firms before joining Stifel in 2007.
