LOMA honors Sun Life for education

Sun Life Financial’s U.S. division received the Life Office Management Association Educational Achievement Award. This marks the third consecutive year that the Wellesley, Mass. company won the award. LOMA, the Atlanta-based insurance industry association, selects the top 15 member companies with the highest participation levels in its educational programs, including life insurance, annuities, compliance and underwriting. The companies are chosen based on the number of workers who take the exams. Sun Life also took the award in the global and regional categories for the U.S. and Canada. Additional honorees included New York Life Insurance Co.; AEGON USA Inc. of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Allianz Life Insurance Co. of North America in Minneapolis and Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co. of Milwaukee. Hartford Life Insurance Co. of Connecticut also took a spot as first-year winner.
