David F. Woods, president of LIFE Foundation, will retire from his post at the end of the year. His retirement ends a 13-year career at the Life and Health Insurance Foundation for Education. Until recently, Mr. Woods, 71, also ran National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, where he was CEO. Though Mr. Woods had previously said that he would remain with LIFE through some point in 2008, he decided to speed up the time table. Mr. Woods’ full-time work with the industry group will end on Dec. 31, but he will remain on an interim basis to help LIFE transition to a new leader. He will also consult with the board chair on resource development and other special projects. Past LIFE chair Mark D. Johnson is heading up a search committee to find Mr. Woods’ replacement.
