FundQuest Inc. has launched its ActivePassive Funds group on several platforms including those of Fidelity Investments, Pershing LLC and TD Ameritrade Inc. The Boston-based investment advisory firm also said that the funds will soon be available on the Charles Schwab & Co. Inc. platform. The launch marks FundQuest’s first foray into mutual fund offerings and makes the funds more widely available to investors. The funds received approval by the Securities and Exchange Commission in December. FundQuest’s research indicated that returns could be enhanced by including both active and passive strategies in various investment categories within a single portfolio, according to a statement from the firm. The ActivePassive Funds offer this strategy in four stock funds, two bond funds and three international funds. FundQuest has $43 billion in assets under management and administration.
