JPMorgan losing top asset management exec
Eve Guernsey will retire as CEO, investment management Americas, at J.P. Morgan Asset Management by the end of 2010.

Plans to replace Ms. Guernsey, who has spent three decades helping build the money management unit of J.P. Morgan Chase & Co, should be finalized over the coming month or two, said spokeswoman Mary Sedarat. J.P. Morgan Asset Management had $1.2 trillion in assets under management as of Dec. 31. In a telephone interview, Ms. Guernsey said after 33 years at J.P. Morgan and with the business in “fantastic shape,” she felt it was a good time to make a family-focused decision to retire.
