Janus Capital Management LLC will begin sending out checks to investors Aug. 15 as restitution from its 2004 market-timing settlement. The Denver-based firm will pay $100 million in restitution as a result of its settlement with the Securities and Exchange Commission for market timing involving seven mutual funds. “Distribution is estimated to continue through the end of the year,” said Janus spokesman James Aber. Shareholders who lost less than $10 won’t be compensated.
