Turner Investment Partners introduces long/short equity fund

Turner Investment Partners Inc. today announced the launch of a mutual fund that will invest in six long-short equity strategies.

Turner Investment Partners Inc. today announced the launch of a mutual fund that will invest in six long-short equity strategies. The Turner Spectrum Fund (TSPCX) is the first fund in the fund group that provides exposure to alternative strategies, Turner said in a statement. The fund will invest in strategies that are managed by several teams within the Berwyn, Pa.-based firm. The institutional share class will require a minimum initial investment of $100,000 and has an expense ratio capped at 1.95%. The investor share class requires an initial investment of $2,500 and the expense ratio is initially capped at 2.20%, the firm reported. Turner Investments had more than $14 billion in assets under management as of March 31.
