The Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. appointed Kate Healy as managing director for its Center for Financial Planning.
Healy spent 13 years at TD Ameritrade Institutional, most recently leading the firm’s Generation Next program, an advocacy effort aimed at increasing the number of women, Black and Hispanic financial planning professionals.
In her new position, she will lead the center’s efforts to elevate the financial planning profession with programs in diversity and inclusion, workforce development and knowledge creation. Healy will also lead the center's fundraising for these programs, the CFP Board said in a release.
Healy recently served as the chair of the Foundation for Financial Planning. She will be based in the CFP Board’s Washington, D.C., headquarters starting Sept. 1.
