Nationwide Securities loses hybrid team to LPL

Four-person advisory group in Charleston, S.C., manages $178 million

Lighthouse Wealth Advisors, a hybrid advisory firm in Charleston, S.C., has affiliated with LPL Financial's broker-dealer and registered investment adviser platforms. At its previous firm, Nationwide Securities, the group managed $178 million in client assets, according to an LPL release. Lighthouse was founded by Wes McKenna and includes advisers Clayton Abel, Kit Leary, Christopher Mathwig and Bobby Parham. Before moving to LPL, Mr. McKenna spent 18 years at Nationwide Securities. He was joined there by Mr. Leary in 2015, Mr. Abel in 2011, Mr. Mathwig in 2009 and Mr. Parham in 2008.
