InvestmentNews is beginning its search for the best and brightest among the advice industry's up-and-comers. We're counting on you to help us out. If you know a superstar adviser who will be 39 or younger on June 20 — someone who really stands out in the crowd and has added value to your firm or the industry in general — tell us about him or her in 200 words or less at Investmentnews.com/40form. The deadline for nominations is March 31. We're also accepting nominations for standouts who aren't financial advisers, provided that the majority of their work is with, and for, the financial advisory industry. So do us a favor and nominate that young academician, back-office brainiac or technology consultant who has helped you help your clients and exemplifies the industry's finest talent. This will be the third year we have done 40 Under 40. In that short amount of time, it's grown to become one of our marquee projects. Indeed, our 40s will be featured not only in the June 20 print edition of InvestmentNews, but on our website. There you'll also be able to view videos featuring many of our 40s in action. The momentum of this undertaking is building. Last year, traffic to our 40 Under 40 microsite increased nearly 100% from the year before. The project is also one of our most successful on social media. Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn helped drive more than a third of our site traffic to this project. That's all fine and good. But what I really like about it all are the 40s themselves. I get to meet many of them in the spring when they attend a luncheon at our offices in New York. While I'm always in awe of their collective intelligence, it's their passion that blows me away. MARCH 31 DEADLINE When you put 40 of the sharpest young minds in our industry together in one room, you can't help but want to go out and do better. And when the final page proof of the 40 Under 40 issue leaves my desk, it renews the sense of optimism I have about the future of this industry. That's why this project is so important. That's why I urge you to take 10 or 15 minutes out of your day sometime in the coming weeks to nominate someone who renews your optimism about the future of advice. Again, the deadline for nominations is March 31.
