The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Inc. has barred Sanders Spangler, a former LPL broker, for not appearing at a Finra hearing looking into his trading activity on behalf of clients. In February 2017, LPL discharged Mr. Spangler after he exercised discretion and traded in the accounts of five customers in violation of firm policy. He had been affiliated with LPL for 11 years. Mr. Spangler, who lives in San Antonio, Tex., began his securities career at Edward Jones in 2000. He spent five years with the firm before affiliating with LPL. He is not currently affiliated with a Finra member firm.
