Moneytree Software introduces Roth IRA conversion, other tools

FEB 15, 2010
Many of the vendors in the financial planning space have issued updates to their software or introduced entirely new Roth IRA conversion calculators in the last year. Now Money Tree Software has expanded the Roth Conversion Analysis model in its “Distribution Solutions" software. It has updated calculations and reports based on a lot of adviser feedback over the last several months. Included among the changes are more detailed tax analysis considerations on single or multi-year conversion examples, inclusion of taxable accounts for opportunity-cost tracking, and tax calculations are now performed with tax brackets indexed for inflation. Advisers can quickly run calculations to check out potential costs and benefits of a conversion and generate a twelve-page report outlining the conversion effects in multi-page pages detailed calculation tables that illustrate taxes. Distribution Solutions contains the Roth Conversion Analysis, 72(t) & RMD Reports, Pension Annuity vs. Lump sum, Pension Dimensions, Lump Sum Distribution versus IRA Rollover, and Inflation Effects Illustration. The software is available for a two-week trial. Initial cost for the software is $269 and thereafter an annual renewal fee of $100. You can see a sample IRA to Roth Conversion report, as well as those of the other modules in PDF format at DSReport.
