Financial advisory firm National Financial Partners Corp. said Wednesday it began a tender offer for $230 million in senior notes.

Financial advisory firm National Financial Partners Corp. said Wednesday it began a tender offer for $230 million in senior notes. The notes are 0.75 percent convertible senior notes due 2012. Holders who tender their notes by the expiration date of July 7 will receive $955 for each $1,000 amount of principal notes plus accrued and unpaid interest. Shares fell 76 cents, or 6.4 percent, to $11.03 in opening trading.
