Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc. has appointed Albert Lee as its chief executive and chairman of operations in Taiwan. In a newly created position, Mr. Lee will be responsible for expanding the investment bank's business in Taiwan, according to news reports. Mr. Lee will move from Hong Kong to Taiwan, where he is now a managing director at Merrill Lynch's private banking division.
