A group of Morgan Stanley financial advisers that managed more than $600 million of client assets has joined Wells Fargo Advisors. Michael Dechiario, managing director, and Thomas Charmley, senior vice president, will lead a team that includes Thomas Soden, senior vice president, Dean Vetsikas, associate vice president, and Stacy Robinson, a financial adviser. “For over 20 years, our practice has remained squarely focused on goal-based planning. Real life is filled with unforeseen changes and complexities…Our customized process provides our clients with objective solutions that are directly correlated to their personal and professional lives,” Mr. Dechiario said in a statement. Christine Jockle, a spokeswoman for Morgan Stanley, confirmed the departure of the advisers and declined further comment. The team will be based out of three Wells Fargo Advisors offices in San Rafael, California; Philadelphia; and Radnor, Pennsylvania. Mr. Dechiario, Mr. Charmley, Mr. Soden, and Mr. Vetsikas each had worked for Morgan Stanley since June 2009, according to Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Inc.'s BrokerCheck. Before that, they were employed by Citigroup Inc. Ms. Robinson's BrokerCheck profile showed she has worked for various Morgan Stanley businesses since July 1998. Before that, she was employed by First Investors Corporation. This is not the first of a wave of financial advisers joining Wells Fargo Advisors from Morgan Stanley. Brian Latz, John Cicillini and Kenneth Cariota that managed $425 million of client assets have joined Wells Fargo earlier this month, while Kenneth Ibbetson, who managed about $107 million of assets, joined the firm in August.
