RBC Wealth Management has recruited a financial advisor who oversaw $435 million in client assets at UBS, the firm announced Wednesday.

Brian Wells will join the firm’s Marin County, California, office as managing director and financial advisor. He’s joined in the move by an investment associate, Stephanie Neri. While Wells moved to California from Boston a year ago, Neri is still based in Boston.

Wells has 25 years of experience, according to his BrokerCheck report, having started his career at Bear Stearns in 1998. He had been affiliated with UBS since 2014.

According to a statement, Wells focuses on providing each client with financial planning that fits their needs and goals.

“Brian has spent many years attracting wonderful clients and he’s built an extremely successful practice. At RBC Wealth Management, he and Stephanie will mesh perfectly with our firm’s fierce focus on the client-advisor relationship,” Michael Schipper, Northern California complex director at RBC, said in the statement.

RBC Wealth Management has more than 2,100 advisors in 42 states overseeing $544 billion in total client assets.
